HERE ARE YOUR OFFICIAL SURVIVOR RULES! GOOD LUCK!!

1. You MUST be present for the very first Survivor tournament to be eligible (unless someone pulls you into the game through the “revive a player” item from exile – see below).

2. I will attempt to keep as large of a variety of games that I can in each tourney, including special rules for each game. Keep in mind that some games simply will not work due to problems in having a “worst score” for an elimination round.

3. Any player(s) not checked in prior to tourney starting face possible elimination.

4. All tournaments except the final will be regular swiss tourneys.

5. When the first tourney starts, after the first match, the teams will be formed. Winners of round one will comprise one team while the losers of round one will constitute the second team. A brief break will occur while teams vote on Tribe names.

All other Survivor tourneys will be “Invite Only”.

6. Until the merge, the player winning each tournament will win team immunity.

7. Until announced otherwise, players facing tribal council will be required to be present 15 minutes before the next tourney scheduled; as a single round will be played prior to the tournament starting. The lowest or worst score is the person eliminated.

8. It is STRONGLY recommended that you go in earlier in case you run into problems getting into the room.

9. At the end of every tournament, until all are gone, the winner of the tourney will choose one person from the opposite tribe to be exiled in which they will pick a number not already picked. Attached to each item and number will be a variety of good AND bad things to occur – ranging in immunity, to being eliminated, so it’s not always a good thing to be picked!

10. More rules on eliminations: If you are unable to attend a required elimination round or are late, then you are the one eliminated unless more than one person facing elimination is absent. The deciding factor at that point will be “who was closest to being there”. A couple of examples would be: A- Goofy and Pluto are both facing elimination. Both are absent but Goofy is checked in and Pluto is not. Pluto would be eliminated. B- Goofy and Pluto are both facing elimination. Both are checked in. Pluto is there just prior to tournament and Goofy is not. Pluto gets booted before elimination round. Pluto was closest to being there so Goofy is eliminated. C- Goofy and Pluto are both facing elimination and both are checked in but not there. Tourney started at 8 p.m. and Goofy emails me or posts in our main chat at 8:15. Nothing received from Pluto at that time. Goofy is safe and Pluto is eliminated. (Note on contacting me after being absent- The only two ways of contact are via email or post in our main chat since they have a date stamp for verification of who’s was received first. Also, no contact counts until after scheduled tourney start time).

11. Remember that there will undoubtedly be circumstances in which someone is eliminated that are beyond their control such as computer problems, family emergencies, etc. This is unfortunate, but there is no way that we can try to make exceptions or the game would never end. Because of this, there has been the factor added to the game in which people can be revived (see below). Also, in attempts to keep a regular schedule, the Survivor tourneys will be held on Sundays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. and on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. There “may” be times in which a day is taken off, because the emcee is in the process of moving! lol

12. Immunity: There will be two items that contain personal immunity. Each personal immunity can only be used once. These items can be saved and used up to the final four tournament. If you have immunity and have the worst score during an elimination round, then you are safe and the person with the second worst score is eliminated. If you are unable to attend a required elimination round and have immunity, then again, you are safe. Personal immunity IS transferable. If someone facing elimination has the worst score during the elimination round, you CAN give that person your immunity idol to keep them safe. This can be from ANY tribe. If you give up your immunity at that time, the second worst score would then be eliminated.

13. Coming back after being eliminated: Once you are eliminated, there still ways to come back into the game. These ways include items retrieved from exile, special tourneys, possible quizzes, etc. Although you are not required to be in the room when someone has to choose who to bring back, historically it has been seen that normally when someone has to pick someone to revive, they generally pick who they can see. If you get the “revive a player”, you also have the option of bringing someone into the game that was not previously signed up for the very first tourney.

14. PRIZES: During the course of Survivor, multiple prizes can be won including Buxx, Badge Books, etc. The final four will also each win 1,000 buxx except the winner, who will win 20,000 buxx, a badge book of their choice, a special badge on our Awards page, as well as bragging rights, etc.

15. Remember that these rules are not 100% inclusive of every possible scenario. In the event of a decision to be made not covered by the basic rules, the HA and Co-HA will collectively make all final decisions on what is felt to be the most fair.

NEW RULES

Any and all hosts that sign up for Survivor will take turns running the Survivor tournaments. Hosts will have the option of what game they would like to host and will do the Invite Only set up. Any host that is not yet eliminated that hosts, will be immune from elimination and exile for the day(s) they host. And don’t worry hosts- I will make sure that the times you are scheduled to host, that there is a manageable crowd for you to handle. I will also be present for the entire series even if I get eliminated right away. Please note, that even though I will be participating this time, I am exempt from being exiled. This is because once again, I will be the only one that knows what is attached to each number for the exile, so hosts will not have to worry about links or tracking.

Dependant upon how many sign up for this next Survivor, we MAY be breaking the tourneys up into two separate tourneys; one for each tribe. If this happens, each tribe will lose a member every tournament until size is manageable enough for all remaining players to fit into a game room. The winner of each tribe will still exile a member of their choice from the opposite tribe EXCEPT the winner of the other tribe.
